DIGITAL ERA

        Technology is changing the way we work, live, learn and play. 21st century education requires technology. Technology extends learning beyond the classroom walls. Technology provides teachers and students variety of educational resources and it has influenced students learning, solving problems and searching information.

Students use a variety of digital devices ( computers, smartphones, etc.) and softwares (e-mail, social media, etc.) to communicate, and problem solve for academic and non-academic subjects.

With this project, we aim to promote a global awareness, which is essential to a 21st century digital education. Our students and teachers learn how to support different type of learning, access true/safer information, be responsible online, encourage collaboration, enjoy with technology….

AIMS OF THE PROJECT

1- To gain knowledge about the innovations of our century.

2-To use technology effectively, safely and correctly

3- To support digital media competency

4-To learn and use web 2 tools.

5- To realize the effects of social media to our lives.

6-To increase students' interests in lessons and ensure their active participation.

7-To become conscious of European citizenship and world citizenship.

8- To gain awareness of the importance of being able to communicate in English.

9-To contribute positively to the acquisition of learning-to-learn competence through activities that students will do individually and in groups.

10- To contribute teachers’ professional development.
